Thermocompression techniques were cited to study the photoluminescence and electroluminescence of ZnS-ZnSe polycrystalline hybrid powders. The hot press method is used to compress the powder into a compact and high quality substrate for manufacturing light-emitting devices. A series of devices of metal-semiconductor structures were fabricated that emitted light from yellow-orange to green-blue. The quantum efficiency of the green-blue light-emitting devices at room temperature is in the range of 10 ~ (-5) -10 ~ (-4) photons / electron than that of ZnS-
