由宁夏社会科学院主办、著名回族史专家杨怀中研究员担任主编的《回族研究》,是全国惟一一份全方位研究回族文化与社会发展问题的综合性学术理论期刊。自1991年2月创刊以来,共刊发了800多篇有关回族、伊斯兰教方面的学术论文,发布了数百条新书讯、学术动态以及回族伊斯兰教研究书目索引,充分、全面地反映了我国回族学学术领域的最高水平和最新动态。所刊发的学术论文80余篇被中国人民大学报刊复印资料全文转载,大部分论文被索引。该刊还被确定为全国民族学类中文核心期刊和全国人文社会科学核心期刊,以及2001年国家新闻出版总署评定的全国“双效期刊”之一。《回族研究》不仅在交流研究信息、扩大研究领域、积累文献资料和培养科研人才等方面发挥了积极作用,推动了回族学学科建设,而且对繁荣我国民族文化研究事 Sponsored by the Ningxia Academy of Social Sciences, the famous Hui history researcher Yang Huai-zhong is the chief editor of “Hui Studies” and is the only comprehensive academic periodical in China that studies all aspects of Hui culture and social development.
