Bulge deformation and centerline segregation caused by deformation are important factors that affect slab quality. The French Ministry of Metallurgy and a number of enterprises organized a project to optimize steel production, using numerical methods to study and optimize the continuous casting process. The research results of the numerical simulation of the continuous casting process in Paris High School of Mining are introduced.
