Recently, a research group in Canada made important research progress in the mechanism of the HIV virus evade host anti-viral immune response. They showed how the HIV virus uses the immune system’s own “tools” to evade the body’s immune response and successfully invade the host’s first immunization line. This breakthrough discovery was published in the international academic journal plos pathogens. The purpose of this study was to determine how HIV successfully evolved the body’s anti-viral immune response during the initial stages of infection, a phase called acute infection. The acute phase of infection is a crucial stage in determining the complexity of the virus infection, the extent of infection and the progression of AIDS, and it is also at this stage that the HIV virus establishes long-term pools in the host cell where the virus
