在沙俄侵略军武装进犯的严重形势下,东北军民斗志空前高涨。东北军民的斗争,和关内有不同点,它打击的对象是沙俄帝国主义。东北各民族、各阶层人民,包括一部分爱国官兵,组成广泛的爱国反帝阵线,团结抗俄,并肩战斗,这是东北军民斗志空前高涨的主要标志,也是抗俄斗争的力量所在。当时,北起黑龙江畔,南迄渤海湾,东自乌苏里江边,西至呼伦贝尔草原,到处燃烧着抗击沙俄入侵的熊熊烈火。
