The threat environment of modern battlefields is all-dimensional and requires a change in the vehicle’s protection program. Anti-tank guided weapons, non-guided hollow charge pellets (such as rockets) and conventional threats such as main battle tank ammunition are prompting many military forces to focus on the development and deployment of proactive protection systems.
