中医药老字号是中华老字号的形象代表与品牌象征。中医药老字号在历史上对中华优秀文化的传承与保存曾做出过重大贡献,至今仍然具有很强的影响力。在当前面临品牌竞争、市场竞争、资源竞争等挑战和发展前景好、发展空间大、发展基础厚等机遇的新形势下,中医药老字号虽然具有一定优势,但现状不容乐观,医药文化环境与产业模式格局被动,其未来发展趋势有二:或者墨守成规,成为西医认知理论与产业模式的附庸;或从中医药传统认知理论与经营模式中汲取养分,开拓创新,涅磐重生。
