Malaria is one of the major public health problems in more than 100 countries and regions in the world, but deaths and morbidity are different, even in different regions of the same country, even among different groups in the same area. Malaria has endemic in countries that have seen little or no control in the past, such as Burundi, Madagascar, Rwanda and northern Sudan. In other parts of the world, in most developed and politically and economically stable areas there has been no marked increase in the number of malaria cases, while the malaria situation has deteriorated significantly in many remote areas.
