《彼得与狼》是前苏联作曲家普罗科菲耶夫为儿童所写,完成于1936年,同年5月2日在莫斯科的一次儿童音乐会上首次演出。这部作品虽然以儿童作为对象,但同时也使很多成人们产生了浓烈的兴趣。音乐由作者本人所构思情节和撰写朗诵词,具有生动活泼而又深刻的教育意义。这部作品的最大特色就是各乐器的运用。音乐中用长笛、双簧管、单簧管、大管、弦乐四重奏、定音鼓和大鼓所奏出的具有特性的短小旋律和音响、分别代表小鸟、鸭子、猫、爷爷、少先队员彼得和猎人的
