Bolivia and Spain used kinetic experiments, open circuit potentiometry and voltammetry to study the use of hydrogen peroxide as an oxidizer for cyanidation. Hydrogen peroxide reduces the rate of cyanidation more than conventional cyanidation but doubles the rate of cyanidation at higher levels.
