The results show that: First, politically-related companies are more prone to production safety accidents; second, political associations will reduce the impact of minor accidents on performance, but have no significant effect on the more serious accidents that lead to the death of personnel; and finally, when the listed company is located After the region linked production security with the promotion mechanism for officials, the positive correlation between political connections and general and major production safety incidents was weakened, and the relationship with minor production safety accidents was not affected.
