今年七月中旬,在巴黎歌劇院裹首次由中國芭蕾舞新秀郭培慧和趙民華主演大型芭蕾舞劇《堂·吉訶德》,他們以優美的舞姿、高超的技藝及逼真的表演,打動了法國觀眾的心,受到熱烈歡迎。在此之前的一九八○年至一九八五年,在參加日本、美國、法國、蘇聯等國舉行的國際芭蕾舞比賽中,中國先後有十一名青年演員獲得了較好的名次。其中一九八四年第四屆日本國際芭蕾舞比賽中,唐敏、張衛强獲得第二名。郭培慧、趙民華獲第四名。一九八五年莫斯科國際芭蕾舞比賽中,張衛强、趙民華獲得男子表演三等獎。唐敏獲得女子表演技巧獎。這表明中國芭蕾舞藝術的發展已達到了一個新的水平。蘇聯‘芭蕾女神’烏蘭諾娃稱讚中國演員既出色地掌握了古典芭蕾技巧,又有自己的特色。
