最近几年间,在京沪两地的话剧舞台上,连续出现了若干台主题深刻、题材多样、风格各异的高品位话剧。如莎士比亚的《哈姆雷特》、布莱希特的《小市民的婚礼》、契诃夫的《海鸥》,还有《黑骏马》、《白娘娘》、《大桥》和《公用厨房》等,在戏剧界和广大观众中引起强烈反响、令人瞩目。这些戏的导演陈明正教授的名字,也像他的舞台创造一样,引起人们的兴趣和国内外戏剧专家的关注。在戏剧改革、探索的新时期,各种戏剧式样层出不穷,许多改革家都做出了自己的努力。有成功的,也有失败的。但陈明正导演的剧目,总是在变革中立于不败之地,并显示出一种特殊的光彩。这不能不引起我们的注意和思索。因此,对其导演艺术进行研究,我想不无裨益和启示。

The name of Professor Chen Mingzheng, the director of these plays, also creates the same interest as his stage creation, arousing people’s interest and concern of theatrical experts at home and abroad. In the new era of drama reform and exploration, various kinds of drama styles emerge one after another, and many reformers have made their own efforts. There are successful, but also failed. However, Chen Mingzheng’s repertoire, always invincible in the transformation, and shows a special luster. This can not but arouse our attention and thinking. Therefore, I do not think it would be helpful and enlightening to study the director’s art.
