青年民族美术人才素质如何，决定着我国民族美术事业在２１世纪的发展状态。本文认为，高素质教师队伍是培养跨世纪优秀青年美术人才的基础。在人才培养上，要以弘扬民族文化艺术，促进民族发展服务为基本出发点，培养学生对美术事业的执着追求、勇于创造的精神、团结协作和社会责任感；要在狠抓专业基本技能训练的同时，采取有效手段缩短“学”与“用”的距离，满足社会的实际需求；要重视由过去的知识教育和技能教育向素质教育的转化，培养复合型民族美术人才 How the quality of young nationalities art talents determines the state of development of our nation’s fine arts in the 21st century.
