一、心理片 好莱坞很喜欢涉猎人的变态心理,常常用弗洛依德学说,对双重人格与自杀者、性错乱与性虐待、酒精中毒与麻醉品中毒的悖于理智的潜意识与复杂的心理活动作不厌其详的描写,所以拍摄了很多心理片,(Psychological film)。其中有一些兼含其他类型影片的因素,例如侦探心理片(希区柯克的悬念片可归此类)、社会心理片、悲剧心理片等。纵观五十八届奥斯卡奖,获最佳影片奖的心理片仅一部,即《失去的周末》。当然,因饰心理角色而获表演奖的演员为数不少。
