近十年来,甜高粱这个新兴而又古老的作物,在我国得到了广泛的传播和发展,现已遍及全国二十几个省市.从植物学分类来讲,甜高粱是普通高粱的一个变种,除了具备普通高粱的一般特点外,最大区别是到了成熟时仍青枝绿叶、茎杆中有大量的汁液,且糖分含量很高.我国自1975年开展试验研究以来,不仅生产出糖浆、红面(砂)糖,而且用来酿酒、制取酒精.近几年又以茎秆青贮饲喂奶牛,取得了良好的经济效益.归纳起来
