上海教育出版社出版的化学九年级(上册)中用二氧化碳熄灭蜡烛火焰的实验(图1a)时,有学生对于实验结果存在疑问,可能蜡烛本身燃烧生成的二氧化碳使火焰熄灭的,分析学生的疑问,是因为倒入的二氧化碳看不见摸不着,缺乏实验证据。如何能够使倒入的二氧化碳看得见呢?笔者想到了课本上的另一个实验:氯化氢和氨产生白烟(图1b)。图1图2在实验中将两个实验进行组合,对二氧化碳熄灭蜡烛火焰的实验进行改进,取得了不错的效果。
