上海东方明珠广播电视塔高460米,居亚洲第一、世界第三,由塔体和公共游乐设施建筑群西部分组成,占地55000M~2,总建筑面积79000M~2.上海东方明珠广播电视塔.从近处看,它在外滩历史建筑群与浦东新区绿化国林的烘托下,已成为上海新的城市标志.从远处看.它正位于杨浦大桥和南浦大桥之间,恰似“双龙戏珠”.东方明珠主塔山三根直径7米与地面呈交角的斜撑,支撑着三根直径9米的擎天立柱,串联起上下三个直径分别为50米、45米、14米的球体共11个钢结构圆球,宛如11颗明珠,镶嵌在塔身上.创造出一种“大珠小球落玉盘”的意境.
