Through the joint efforts of the entire society, our province has basically completed the “two basics” task in 1998. However, we should be clear that the completion of the “two-base” task does not mean that the quality of primary and secondary school teaching has reached the standard. The improvement of the quality of primary and secondary school education and teaching will be a long-term and arduous task in the compulsory education stage. This paper tries to consolidate the problems existing in compulsory education in improving the quality of education in the stage of education and its formation.
