高适和岑参都是杰出的盛唐边塞诗人，他俩的创作既有同工之妙，又有异曲之别。从选材看，他俩都着力描绘边塞风光和边塞战争，但高诗主理，岑诗主景；从风格看，他俩的诗作都慷慨悲壮，但高诗多悲，岑诗多壮；从表现手法看，他俩都善用对比、夸张、拟人等手法，但高诗尚实，岑诗尚奇；从语言看，他俩都注意提炼推敲，但高诗尚偶，岑诗尚散。之所以形成这些特点，与他俩所处时代和经历不同相关。
