目前的CPU,都采用0.25微米工艺,包括Intel Celeron/Pentium II/PentiumⅢ以及AMD K6-2/K6-3/K7,在2000年来到之前,CPU工艺将由目前的0.25微米开始迈向0.18微米工艺,尤其是Intel的产品线也将产生重大的变化。 从过去的经验来看,较先进的技术往往先出现在笔记型CPU,而后才是桌上型。因为Notebook需要低热低电压的环境,早期由0.35迈入0.25工艺之时,0.25也是先于笔记型用CPU出现,而后再导入到桌上型。Intel已在前阵子发表了0.18微米工艺Mobile PentiumⅡ及Celeron,可见0.18微米工艺应用于桌上型CPU的日子已经不远了。
