公元1949年9月23日,距10月1日新中国成立只有一周的时间,中国人民解放军第四野战军第48军144师的指战员们经历25天的浴血奋战,终于取得了翠微峰剿匪战斗的全胜。此次战役共歼敌2150余人,活捉匪首黄镇中,被华中军区誉为解放江南战斗中攻坚战的最好范例,为新中国成立献上了一份沉甸甸的厚礼。1950年,也就是新中国成立的第二年,上海电影制片厂即以翠微峰剿匪为背景,拍摄了脍炙人口的经典黑白影片《翠岗红旗》,受到了毛泽东,周恩来的肯定,并在1951年第六届卡罗维发利国际电影节上荣获摄影奖,这也是中国电影首次受到世界影坛的褒赏。史海沉浮,岁月沧桑。在隆重庆祝新中国成立六十周年之际,我们回首60年前江西赣南剿匪作战中最大的一次战斗,革命先烈们在峥嵘岁月里用生命和热血谱写出的波澜壮阔的千秋史如在眼前……
