Sia Aersley is one of Australia’s most famous contemporary women writers. She is the only successful female writer in that generation to be dominated by men in the 1960s and ’70s. Her work, mostly masculine, is a sharp irony of the Australian society she has witnessed by depicting outsiders or villains in the community. This article argues that the reason that Thea Arsley did creation from the angle of male is inseparable from the social background of her time, and it is this transformation of perspective that makes her able to expound her own thoughts through words, Attack the bad habits of society.
