Zbtb7基因位于人染色体19p13．3区带,其编码的产物POK家族具有BTB域和Kruppel锌指结构。通过早期小鼠胚胎成纤维细胞(MEFs)的实验,发现POK家族成员之一的Pokemon是ARF特异性转录抑制剂,通过ARF-P53路径对细胞生长进行调节。Pokemon过表达能使小鼠发生淋巴瘤,其还能与癌基因BCL-6联合作用显示原癌基因的活性,促进淋巴瘤的发生。所以认为该基因有望成为重要的肿瘤监视靶点。
The Zbtb7 gene is located on the 19p13.3 region of human chromosome, and its encoded product POK family has the BTB domain and the Kruppel zinc finger structure. Through experiments on early mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs), Pokemon, a member of the POK family, was found to be an ARF-specific transcriptional inhibitor that regulates cell growth via the ARF-P53 pathway. Overexpression of Pokemon can induce lymphomas in mice. It can also cooperate with oncogene BCL-6 to show the activity of oncogenes and promote the occurrence of lymphoma. So that the gene is expected to become an important tumor surveillance target.
