据预测,氟化物玻璃光纤在2~4.5μm波长之间的超低损耗可达10~(-2)~10~(-3)dB/km。在2.9μm,即上述波段的中心部位,OH离子具有一次谐波的弛张振动,致使吸收程度很强,范围很宽。通过减少玻璃中OH~-的含量,突变型氟锆酸盐玻璃光纤在2.9μm的衰减已降到58 dB/km。这是目前所报道的任何一种光纤在这一波长的最低衰减。
It is predicted that the ultra-low loss of fluoride glass fiber in the wavelength of 2 ~ 4.5μm can reach 10 ~ (-2) -10 ~ (-3) dB / km. At 2.9 μm, that is, at the center of the above band, OH ions have a relaxation vibration of the first harmonic, resulting in a strong absorption and a wide range. By reducing the OH ~ - content in the glass, the attenuation of the mutant fluorozirconate glass fiber at 2.9 μm has been reduced to 58 dB / km. This is the lowest attenuation at any wavelength of any fiber reported so far.
