王薇,上海龙美术馆馆长,一个美丽优雅的知识女性,上世纪90年代开始收藏艺术品,藏品包括瓷器、家具、玉器、绘画等。其丈夫是中国著名商人、收藏家刘益谦。2009年开始,刘益谦与王薇从“玩票”走向大规模收藏,迄今已斥资数十亿元购藏艺术佳品,刘益谦主攻书画和古董珍玩;王薇则侧重红色经典题材和当代艺术作品。自2003年王薇拍下吴冠中的作品《爱晚亭秋意》和张洪祥的《艰苦岁月》起,每年的拍卖会上若有令她心仪的红色经典题材作品,她都会尽量到场,志在必得。2010年世界华人收藏家大会召开前夕,大会组委会对王薇进行了专访。
Wang Wei, curator of Shanghai Long Art Museum, a beautiful and elegant intellectual woman, began collecting works of art in the 90s of the 20th century with collections of porcelain, furniture, jade, paintings and more. Her husband is a famous Chinese businessman, collector Liu Yiqian. Since 2009, Liu Yiqian and Wang Wei have gone from large-scale collection of “play tickets” to spending millions of dollars in art collections and Liu Yiqian’s main works on calligraphy and painting and antiques. Wang Wei focuses on red classic themes and contemporary artworks . Since 2003, when Wang Wei took Wu Guanzhong’s work “Love Pavilion Nightfall” and Zhang Hongxiang’s “Painstaking Days”, she tried her best to be there at the annual auction if she had made her favorite red classics. On the eve of the 2010 World Chinese Collector Conference, the organizing committee of the conference interviewed Wang Wei.
