Downstream demand sustains growth In China,BDO (1,4-butanediol) is mainly used to produce polybutylene terephthalate (PBT),polyurethane (PU),gama-butyrolactone (GBL) and tetrahydrofuran (THF).It is also used as an intermediate in the production of medicines and chemicals and as a raw material for solvents and coatings.
