在我们传媒的体育报导、评述中,常常出现“残酷”这个字眼。“比赛是残酷的。”“结局是残酷的。”“这对他(她)是很残酷的。”“这对我们是够残酷的。”……乃至“体育运动就是这样残酷。”《现代汉语词典》里对“残酷”一词的解释是“凶狠冷酷”。难道体育运动,特别是像奥运会那样的全球性盛会,说到头,其本质竟是凶狠冷酷吗? 有的运动员、教练员,或者一般看客,针对运动场上自己不愿面临的失败,用“比赛是残酷的”来表达一时间的情绪,是可以理解的。这时他们口里的“残酷”一语,其实已经偏离
