Arachidonic acid metabolism in many physiological and pathological processes play an important role, domestic and foreign scholars have reported changes in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, but mostly limited to the determination of plasma prostaglandin levels. We recently observed a variety of leukocyte, platelet and plasma changes in arachidonic acid metabolism, and to explore the pathological and clinical significance of these changes. MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirteen patients with acute cerebral thrombosis, aged 42-76 years and 19 with stroke, aged 45-78 years, had typical clinical signs and symptoms of stroke and were confirmed by CT scanning. Thirteen patients with coronary heart disease, aged 46 to 78 years, of which 5 cases of acute myocardial infarction (AMI), 8 cases of non-AMI, there
