一、国际比较项目的历史概况最早用购买力平价进行国民生产总值国际比较的是欧洲经济合作组织(即现在经济发展与合作组织的前身).50年代初,该组织就开始研究其成员国人均GNP的比较.60年代,拉美经济委员会和经互会也分别进行国民生产总值和国民收入比较的尝试,鉴于国民生产总值(GNP)的国际比较有重要意义,1965年联合国统计委员会第十三届会议建议,对GNP国际比较的经验进行研究.该项研究于1967年开始进行,1968年提出了《生产、收入和支出总量的的国际比较》的报告.该报告建议选择若于个国家进行实际比较,以便进一步推广.联合国统计委员会采纳了这项建议,确定为“国际比较项目”(International Comparison Pro-gramme,简称ICP).
I. Historical overview of international comparative projects The earliest international comparisons of GNP with purchasing power parity (PPP), the predecessor of the current Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), began in the early 1950s to study the average per capita GNP. In the 1960s, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Economic and Trade Commission also tried to compare GNP and national income separately.
