武汉市江汉区姑嫂树村位于武汉市北大门,现有土地面积1000多亩,农业户数400多户,人口约800多人。近几年,村两委会一班人抢抓机遇,大胆改革,坚持以经济建设为中心,精心策划姑嫂树村的发展规划,努力实现经济目标,使该村综合经济实力显著增强。2000年全村实现销售收入5亿多元,实现利税近4000万元,与1985年实现社会总产值不到3000万元相比,连续翻了几翻,人均收入从1985年的1000多元提高到5000余元,先后被省委、省政府授予乡镇企业综合经济实力“五百强”;1993-1997年被市委、市政府授予乡镇企业综合经济实力“十佳村“;1998年被市委、市政府授予乡镇企业综合经济实力“十强村”。
