豫西北唐宋时期谓怀州,此域民间演剧氛围厚重,从唐《踏摇娘》、宋《祈雨歌舞》之歌舞戏到戏剧文物所载宋代民间傀儡戏搬演再至戏曲砖雕所现脚色齐全的杂剧装扮,皆说明此域唐宋民间演剧的多样性和普遍性。这些史料和文物可补此域唐宋民间演剧史料阙如之憾,同时亦为考察和研究此域民间民俗等文化提供注释。
