“长谷二号”谷子新品种是长春市农科所谷子组以谷代1×公谷6号杂交育成,1986～1988年经吉林省谷子品种区域试验鉴定,谷草双收,增产显著,平均比对照公谷6号和白沙971增产10.2％,其它性状也表现良好,1989年1月由吉林省农作物品种审定委员会审定通过,并命名为“长谷二号”。该品种具有高产、稳产、抗逆性强等特点。1989年定名当年种植面积就已达到11.7万亩。
The new variety of “Chang Gu II” millet was grown in Changchun Agronomy Group Millet by 1 generation of Guogu 6 hybrid. From 1986 to 1988, it was appraised by the regional experiment of millet varieties in Jilin Province. Which was 10.2% higher than CK6 and Baisha971. The other traits also performed well. In January 1989, it was approved by Jilin Province Crop Variety Approval Committee and named as “Chang Giang II”. The variety has the characteristics of high yield, stable yield and strong resistance. Nominated in 1989 when the acreage has reached 117,000 mu.
