据台北公布的数字,今后十年台湾将支付5015.4亿元新台币(185.8亿美元)用于购置及改进武器系统,同时增加用于采购战斗机、各类导弹系统和坦克的投资。今年四月初,台湾公布了1989—1990年的采购计划。这是首次向外界公布未来的军品采购问题。今后十年已纳入计划的采购项目,分为空海防御、抗登陆、通讯、电子、战备补充、部队后勤、工程及防御技术等八项。
