线粒体除了为细胞生理活动提供能量外,还参与了其他生命过程的调控。线粒体是一个动态的架构,持续地分裂与融合以维持它的完整性,该平衡的破坏和线粒体嵴形态学的改变与多种病理过程和疾病相关。miRNAs是一类小分子非编码RNA,它通过结合到mRNAs的3′-UTR区域,从而抑制mRNA的翻译,促进mRNA的降解。特定的miRNAs在线粒体中表达丰富。miRNA可能参与了线粒体结构、代谢和功能的调控。
In addition to providing mitochondria for cellular physiological activities, it is also involved in the regulation of other life processes. Mitochondria are dynamic structures that continually divide and fuse to maintain their integrity. The breakdown of the balance and changes in mitochondrial cristae morphology are associated with a variety of pathological processes and diseases. miRNAs are a class of small non-coding RNAs that inhibit mRNA translation and promote mRNA degradation by binding to the 3’-UTR region of mRNAs. Specific miRNAs are abundantly expressed in mitochondria. MiRNAs may be involved in the regulation of mitochondrial structure, metabolism and function.
