在中国政治、经济20年来进行的空前大变革中,竞技体育总像待哺的婴儿不能自立,由于至今仍负有为国争光的政治任务以及有庞大的行政阶层消耗着可观的国家经费,这一状况多年来很难从根本上加以改善、似乎那些发达国家的社会化、产业化的竞技体育体制在中国永远没有实现的机会,中国竞技体育的光明出路在哪里? 其实,搞竞技体育并不是非要有现在这么多投入才行,举重、女足、女垒也没有多少奖金、赞助、但成绩大多是世界一流的。竞技体育要自立自强的第一步是否可以把那些冲不出国门甚至冲不出亚洲的运动队伍通过拍卖、兼并,分流或自谋职业等形式排除在国家计划之外,让其自找出路或转变为体有产业呢?对冲出亚洲的运动队伍则加大投入,加强管理,此举不但不会削弱中国在奥运会上的成绩,反而会夺取更多的奖牌。第二步也就是根本性的改革,撤消各地方省市的专业运动队编制,让各项目运动队与大学或青少年体校合并为单项俱乐部,不靠政府养活而独立生存,把自身牢牢地扎根在社会和群众当中,既是普
