早在新千年伊始,中国的电信人就开始憧憬FTTH。但居高不下的费用,使这个王谢堂前燕,始终没能飞入寻常百姓家。自2006年开始,随着PON技术的逐渐成熟、高带宽业务需求的日渐增多,FTTH的曙光似乎不再遥远;然而FTTH为什么没有像当年ADSL大放号一样,一夜之间神州大地竞光速呢?问题的根本在于业界只解决FTTH的技术问题,却并没有解决其运维问题,大规模商用也就无从谈起。与ADSL运维最大的不同之处在于,基于PON技术的网络运营在用户感知上已经发生了翻天覆地的变化,包括无源的中间分光介质(无源基本代表无法感知,难以管理)、共享的主干光路、点对多点的业务模式,这样的变革是ADSL所未曾遇到的。因此,以PON技术为代表的FTTH建设模式,任重而道远。当前,制约FTTH大规模发展的关键因素,主要在终端定位、业务自动发放以及光纤链路检测三个方面。FTTH若要大规模发展,就一定要跨越这三大障碍。
As early as the beginning of the new millennium, China’s telecom operators began to look forward to FTTH. Since 2006, with the gradual maturity of PON technology and the increasing demand for high-bandwidth services, the dawn of FTTH seems to be no longer far away. However, why does FTTH not have the same broadcast speed as that of ADSL in the same year? The root of the problem is that the industry only solves the technical problems of FTTH, but it does not solve its operation and maintenance problems, and large-scale commercial use is impossible. The biggest difference with ADSL operation and maintenance is that the network operation based on PON technology has undergone enormous changes in user perception, including passive intermediate optical media (passive basic represents unintelligible and unmanageable), shared backbone Light Road, point to multipoint business model, this change is ADSL never encountered. Therefore, PON technology as the representative of the FTTH construction mode, a long way to go. At present, the key factors restricting the large-scale development of FTTH are mainly terminal positioning, automatic service delivery, and optical link detection. FTTH to large-scale development, we must cross these three obstacles.
