2012年5月3日-6日,“在全球化和冲突的时代阅读纪伯伦”第二次哈利勒.纪伯伦国际研讨会在美国马里兰大学召开。此次会议由马里兰大学人类学系的哈利勒.纪伯伦委员会和行为与社会科学学院的国际发展和冲突处理中心组织,由美国达拉比联合会、泰尔法艺术博物馆等三家艺术机构联办,黎巴嫩的纪伯伦国家委员会、美国马里兰大学的“哈利勒.纪伯伦的生活与创作研究”国际联合会、法国的“阿拉伯世界”、英国的同一世界出版社等来自欧美、阿拉伯世界的12家机构是本次会议的重要参与者和合作伙伴。
May 3-6, 2012, “Reading Gibran in Times of Globalization and Conflict” The second Khalil Gibernale International Symposium was held at the University of Maryland. The meeting was organized by the Khalil Jilbrunn Committee of the Anthropology Department of the University of Maryland and the Center for International Development and Conflict Management of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. The conference was jointly run by three art organizations, including the United Arab Emirates, the Telfair Museum of Art, , The National Commission for Gibran in Lebanon, the International Federation of Life and Creation Studies of Khalil Gibbonon at the University of Maryland in the United States, the Arab World in France, and the One World Press in Britain. The 12 institutions are important participants and partners of this meeting.
