Industry insiders predict that by the year 2000, the total consumption of PAP in China will reach 35,000-3.7 million tons, while the total output will be only about 25,000 tons, and the gap will be large. It still needs to be developed vigorously. It is predicted that by 2000, if PAP’s new consumer hot spot, paracetamol for livestock and poultry, is taken into consideration, the PAP used in the pharmaceutical industry will be around 30,000 tons; in the rubber industry, PAP is mainly used for the synthesis of antioxidants such as 4010A, 4020, and 4030.
