养蚌育珠大多数采用投放有机肥料(如鸡粪等),容易产生水环境污染,并引发蚌病。笔者为了实施“淡水珍珠健康养殖技术研究”项目,与湖南省常德市洞庭珍珠养殖有限公司合作,根据“鸭-鱼-蚌”混养模式、生态健康养殖理念,2007-2011年在公司承包的常德市东江渔场70.7公顷养殖水面进行了以预防为核心的蚌病控制、生态健康养殖试验,通过4年的努力,取得了理想的效果。现将养殖技术总结如下:
