宁玉庭是湖北荆门人,靠借贷读过三年私整,后辍学务农。土地革命时期,他参加荆钟北山地区的红军游击队,不久加入中国共产党,并任区委委员。1932年北山游击区遭破坏,宁玉庭与党组织失掉联系。1937年7月卢沟桥事变后,中共湖北省委派共产党员到荆门地区开展抗日救国宣传,并寻找失散的红军。宁玉庭于这年10月重新加入中国共产党。1940年春,为准备抗击
Ning Yuting is a native of Jingmen in Hubei Province who borrowed money and spent three years in private practice before dropping out of school. During the Agrarian Revolution, he joined the Red Army guerrillas in the Beishan area of Jingzhong and soon joined the Communist Party of China as a member of the district committee.
