The 2nd CAS Symposium on the Geological Structure and Evolution of China’s Coal-forming Geology with the Systems Geotectonics and Coal Geology Experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Colleges and Universities, the Ministry of Coal, Geological, Petroleum and Nuclear Industries, November 26, 1987 Day to December 1 in Changsha Institute of Earth structure held. The conference focused on the following six issues: 1. The purpose and task of coalmine geology and mineralogy; 2. Theories and methods of geology of coal-forming geology; 3. Geotectonic and evolution of the Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic coal formations in China ; 4. Chinese tectonic characteristics and tectonic types of coalfields; 5. symbiotic tectonic evolution of coal-bearing tectonic evolution and coal; 6. some questions of tectonic evolution of coal-forming geotones
