作为地跨欧亚大陆的重要国家,战后土耳其一直致力于发展本国海上力量。土耳其和希腊因爱琴海部分岛屿归属以及塞浦路斯民族问题分歧严重,两国海军在领海交界处时常是剑拔弩张。为了获取海上对峙优势,目前,土耳其正在加紧自主建造岛屿级新型护卫舰。岛屿级的首舰“雷贝利岛”号(F-511)预计在今年10月完工,随后将展开海试与作战能力的测试,于2011年初进入服役。岛屿级是30多年来土耳其自行设计的第一型现代化轻型水面战舰,标志着土耳其海军进入了主战舰艇国产化的新时代。
As an important country across the Eurasian continent, after the war Turkey has been committed to developing its maritime power. Turkey and Greece are disproportionately divided over parts of the Aegean islands and ethnic Cypriots. The navies of the two countries are often tense at the junction of the territorial sea. In order to gain the maritime confrontation advantage, at present, Turkey is stepping up efforts to build an island-based new frigate. The island’s first ship, “Rebeli” (F-511), is scheduled to be completed in October this year. The trial of sea trials and operational capabilities will then begin and will enter service in early 2011. The island-class is the first modernized light surface combatant of its kind designed by Turkey for more than 30 years, marking a new era in which the Turkish navy enters the localization of the main battle ships.
