列宁主义是马克思主义普遍原理与当时俄国的国情相结合的产物,是列宁正确地运用《资本论》的理论科学分析当时俄国实际状况的结晶。《资本论》对列宁的影响主要表现在:《资本论》指引列宁马克思主义世界观的形成,列宁运用《资本论》的理论和方法批判民粹主义,列宁在《资本论》启迪下系统研究黑格尔哲学。列宁以马克思的《资本论》为典范,运用其中的理论和方法、特别突出运用揭露矛盾和分析矛盾的唯物辩证法,对帝国主义进行了全面系统的深刻研究,撰写出《帝国主义是资本主义的最高阶段》(简称《帝国主义论》),明确提出和论证了帝国主义是资本主义的垄断阶段和最高阶段,揭示了垄断资本主义的实质和基本特征,为俄国在帝国主义时代进行无产阶级革命提供了科学依据,提出并论证了社会主义革命首先在一国内胜利的可能性和必然性,把马克思主义的发展推进到一个新阶段。十月革命后,列宁又运用《资本论》的理论和方法提出、制定俄国向社会主义过渡和建设社会主义的理论、道路、纲领及各项方针、策略等。
