Since the beginning of August, many European countries such as Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia have suffered unprecedented floods in more than a century due to heavy rains, the flooding of the Danube and Elbe rivers in central and eastern Europe, and the deaths of over 100 people. Officials at the EU headquarters and Germany said it is still too early to estimate flood damage. However, the well-known German insurance company Allianz Volkswagen has made the forecast that the total property loss in all European countries will be at least 15 billion euros. The current flood is still not subsided, this figure will continue to increase.
