由于氧化矿物的资源将要枯竭,故在含金的及含其它金属的难选硫化矿石的选别过程中将越来越多地应用生物处理法。细菌和兰细菌(兰-绿藻类)是被称为原核生物的单细胞低原生生物。原核生物并没有真正的核,细菌的脱氧核糖核酸是以单分子形成存在细胞内的。原核生物的形态与结构是较有限制的,细菌的形态或是球状的,或是直棒(或曲棒)状的,它们构成的形态并不多样,但是它们的代谢特性及适应性却是多样的和广泛的。原核生物细胞的主要组成部分如图1所示。
