Objective To observe the changes of platelet activation in elderly hypertensive patients and patients with hypertension complicated with diabetes mellitus, and to explore its value in the disease. Methods Flow cytometry was used to determine the changes of platelet activation markers CD62p, CD63, CD41 and CD61 in 46 elderly hypertensive patients and 37 elderly patients with hypertension. The changes of platelet activation markers CD62p, CD63, CD41 and CD61 were compared between the two groups and 30 elderly healthy controls Compare. Results The plasma levels of CD62p and CD63 in patients with hypertension were significantly higher than those in controls. The plasma levels of CD62p and CD63 in patients with hypertension complicated with diabetes mellitus were significantly higher than those in controls and hypertensives. Plasma levels of CD62p, CD63 in patients with hypertension were slightly higher than those in controls, but not statistically significant. The plasma levels of CD41 and CD61 in hypertensive patients with diabetes mellitus were significantly higher than those in control group and hypertension group. Conclusion The activation of platelet in elderly hypertensive patients is increased, while the platelet activation in elderly hypertensive patients with diabetes is more significant.
