自80年代初,由于我国体育健儿在国际比赛中取得了一系列优异成绩,我国城市居民开始关心体育,尤其是竞技体育,人们渴望通过体育腾飞而振兴中华。研究结果表明:我国各阶层的城市居民对竞技体育的发展持关心态度的占85.1%,有86.9%的人把体育成绩和国家的荣誉与地位紧密地结合在一起。但也有一些亟待解决的问题,主要是:应改变单一由体委系统承办运动队的机制,调动体委系统、企业和高等院校3方面的积极性,拓宽我国优秀运动队建设的路子;合理安排运动项目布局,把奥运会比赛项目和群众喜爱的项目有机地结合在一起;解决体育后备人才培养的问题,应尽快制定出切实可行的对策,否则2000年实现体育强国的战略目标就无法兑现。
Since the early 1980s, as athletes of our country have achieved a series of outstanding achievements in international competitions, urban residents in our country are beginning to pay attention to sports, especially athletics, and people are eager to revitalize China through sports take-off. The results show that 85.1% of urban residents in all walks of life in China are interested in the development of competitive sports, and 86.9% of them are closely linked with their achievements in sport and the honor and status of the country. However, there are also some problems to be solved. The main issues are: to change the mechanism of a single sports team run by the Sports Commission system, to mobilize the enthusiasm of the Sports Commission system, enterprises and institutions of higher learning, and to broaden the path of excellent sports teams in our country. Layout, the Olympic Games and the masses popular projects organically integrated together; to solve the problem of training sports reserve personnel, should develop a practical countermeasure as soon as possible, or to achieve the strategic goal of sports power in 2000 will not be honored.
