IP技术如日中天,其未来也是前景无限,但它也具有与生俱来的局限性——在传输视频等大流量时,会显得效率不足。因此,美籍华人高汉中提出了MP(Media Protocol)技术,希望能藉此解决流媒体(典型代表是视频流)传输与处理的问题。MP技术是否能完成它的使命,弥补IP在传输流媒体上的缺憾呢?这需要将IP和MP的基本原理做一下对比和分析。 IP的基本做法是将数据封装成IP包,然后以面向无连按的特性,灵活地利用带宽把IP包发送出去。在传输数据上,IP确实是最好用的,这是它在全世界被应用得最广泛的原因。同样,在处理视频、语音等流量时,IP也是采用类似的方
IP technology is booming and its future is promising, but it also has inherent limitations - it can be inefficient when streaming large volumes of video. Therefore, Chinese-American Gao Hanzhong put forward MP (Media Protocol) technology, hoping to solve the problem of streaming media (typical representatives of video streaming) transmission and processing.
