塑料一经问世,即被人们广泛应用到了几乎所有领域。在塑料应用促进了工农业生产发展的同时,也带来了严重的“白色污染”问题。塑料不能自行“腐烂”,塑料薄膜长期存在于田间,不仅妨碍耕作,也破坏土壤自身的水肥及微生物平衡,对农作物生长造成不利影响。发达国家对使用后的塑料曾采用过掩埋、焚烧和回收利用等方法进行处理,也都存在着不足。从20世纪70年代开始,很多科学家为解决白色污染问题,纷纷投入了“绿色”塑料即可降解塑料的研制。“绿色塑料”泛指能够自行降解和再利用、不污染环境的塑料。具体说,就是在一定使用期限内具有与普通塑料制品同样的功效,又能与自然环境同化的一类聚合物。因为它对解决白色污染问题具有重大意义,所以被称为“绿色塑料”。目前,科学家研制绿色塑料工作进展迅速,已经取得了众多令人称道的实用成果。兹转发青岛华龙包装有限公司陈希荣先生的文章,以飨读者。
